4 years ago today i called spencer my own for always.
with each new year of marriage spent loving him
comes new obstacles, trials, triumphs and discoveries.
there have, no doubt, been difficult times.
there also have, undoubetedly, been some of the best times of my life.

when you choose to love someone unconditionally,
you choose to fight for them. when unexpected crap hits the fan
or something in your life takes a nose dive you stand by each other.
you fight for one another - support each other - and cheer each other on.
and most of all - you keep loving each other.

the one thing that keeps us going, year after year,
is to forgive when hurt, listen when you'd rather scream,
spend time together, go on adventures, try new things,
take risks, play outside, and fess up when you do something wrong.

it's easy to let pride and stubbornness get in the way.
don't let it. treat your relationship the same way you did
when you were dating. it's still special. it's still fun.
and it's just going to get better with time.
most of all, keep making memories together.
