the special thing about kinfolk magazine
is not just that it's incredible, inspiring and beautiful.
it's the fact that it was started by my good college friend,
nathan williams.

when we lived in hawaii we did a lot of fun things together.
it's been really jaw-dropping to watch kinfolk come together
and grow in popularity like wild fire, when i recall
nate brainstorming his idea and watching it evolve
years before it was released while we had little
impromptu dinners for thanksgivings and birthdays together.

gratefully, i was able to be a contributing writer to this publication!
i interviewed a german photographer named klaus frahm.
it was so special getting to know klaus and his sentiment
for family and maintaining tradition over generations.
i especially liked learning his personal recipes that i quote klaus in saying,
"come straight from the heart."
