august has somehow snuck up on all of us.
there are whispers that the end of summer is near,
and every time i close my eyes i can feel the seasons transition.
already there are halloween goodies filling the stores,
and i draw back to my fondest memories of the summer months
grasping for those quiet moments on the chilled mountain lake,
jumping off the dock, kayaking through the moss and
roasting s'mores over the perfect fire. long drawn out mornings
with my favorite pancakes, road trips, pine cone wars
and most of all - exploring new places.
that is what i love about summer.
