. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
escaping this city of angels is incredibly important to us.
we are nature people, and love very much to be outside.
mulholland is a windy road in the hills that overlooks the city just so.
it really is a sight to see. and if you squint your eyes just right,
the city lights become a glowing blur that says - we live here, too.
there's something comforting about that.

Such a lovely escape. It's like we can feel what it means to you, to escape.
ReplyDeleteI love those silhouettes. What a gorgeous hour to capture moments.
ReplyDeletedusk is one of my favorite times of the day. love this set so much.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos! I especially love the side by side of you two! My Jason and I enjoy hiking together as often as we can. We haven't been able to for a while so it is nice to live in a city like Indy which has so much nature preserved (especially in our neighborhood).

ReplyDeleteHey Kylie!
ReplyDeleteWe are new to LA, fresh from the suburbs of Gilbert, AZ - SUCH a huge change! Luckily we just signed a lease today at a condo off Fairfax&Sunset... unfortunately we have to be on that side of the hill because yes, Kyle is a model and photographer so we need to be, like you said, "close to the action!" But thank you so, so much for the heads up on the place - we were definitely in living situation limbo for awhile. And I wish I could say yes that is our chameleon, sadly it's a friends, but we will have one very soon after we get settled in the new place because after taking care of the little guy you saw in the pics, we are totally obsessed with them!
Xo,
Megan
good to hear from you! glad you guys found a place - i know how hard that is moving somewhere new. my husband grew up in gilbert (small world!) so we have lots of family there, still. we have a little chameleon named gary, and you'll see him on our blog once in a while haha, he is a character and we really love him. best of luck with the settling in! welcome to LA! :)
DeleteNo kidding??? Really small world! That is too weird - Gilbert, especially 10-15 years ago was not a big place to grow up in... hmmm... Well thank you! We are glad to be here!!!
DeleteAh those silhouette photos are just gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteyou know its so funny. we were planning to go somewhere exotic next summer but we might just roadtrip to California and explore the state a little more. you make it look so appealing ;)
ReplyDeleteglad to hear i was of some inspiration! i think you totally should. it is full of awesomeness from north to south.
Deletegorgeous photos! just stumbled across your blog and loving it :)
